REVEALED: Why you can’t find a rental on the Coast
Here is why you have been struggling to find a home to rent on the Sunshine Coast.
The Real Estate Institute of Queensland’s latest figures show the “Maroochy Coast” has the tightest rental market in Queensland, with a vacancy rate of only 1.1% for the December quarter. Noosa’s vacancy rates aren’t far behind at 1.4% and even a unit had become more difficult to get into. Figures showed the vacancy rates of units in Noosa had reduced from 3.2% in June to 1.4% in the December quarter. In comparison, the vacancy rate in inner Brisbane was sitting at 3.6% and at 2.5% on the Gold Coast. Queensland’s rental market improved across Queensland for the December quarter.
